About the session
Theme: Inclusive design
This session will explore how a multidisciplinary healthcare team can design and deliver truly inclusive care in rural Wales.
We’ll look at how taking a citizen-first approach has influenced service design at a practical level and bring together shared learning and practical examples.
The session will highlight the challenges of rurality, digital access and diverse user needs, and show some of the ways that these can be addressed both by individual organisations and by developing strong community partnerships.
Participant takeaways:
- an understanding of the impact of rurality on service design
- practical examples of co-production between service users, clinical staff and partner organisations
- examples of small steps that services can take to improve accessibility
